Botox Leamington Spa Aesthetic Clinics

Botox® for wrinkle reduction at our Leamington Spa Clinic

Botox® (Botulinum Toxin type A) has been in use for over 30 years and has been licensed for aesthetics treatments for over 10 with a second to none safety profile. It is now commonly used by qualified aesthetic practitioners in beauty clinics to help smooth away frown lines and reduce wrinkles. It can also be used to create a lift over the eye area and provide a youthful glow.

At our Leamington Spa clinic, Botox has become the most popular anti-wrinkle treatment available. When it comes to fast, effective clinical anti-ageing treatments for removing wrinkles and enhancing beauty, Botox injections, alongside dermal fillers are hard to beat.

How does Botox work and are there any side effects?

Tiny amounts are injected using a micro needle relaxing the ‘expression’ muscles. The side effects of Botox are minimal and temporary, they can occasionally include localised bruising, a slight redness and itching of the skin and minor swelling for a short time after the injection.

"Depending on the area, I will generally complete a treatment in a matter of seconds, and you will be able to resume normal activities right away. After a treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled, whilst untreated facial muscles will continue to contract in a normal fashion."

"One of my key aims when injecting Botox is to ensure facial expressions are minimally affected."

What's the best age to start Botox treatments?

There is no set age, everyone is different and it depends on the condition of your skin, but it's worth being aware that Botulinum Toxin is a preventative anti-wrinkle treatment, so it is generally best, but not imperative, to begin before lines become too deeply entrenched.

How long do Botox injections last?

It takes around 3 to 7 days to see an improvement, and up to 2 weeks to see the overall effect. Botox is completely reversible and lasts roughly 3 to 6 months at which time the effect will gradually fade. Most people require injections 3 times in the first year, then 2–3 times in the second.

"For optimal results, I generally recommend returning before the effect wears off completely, this enables me to refine treatment allowing for the best Botox results lasting the longest period of time."

I'm scared of needles! - do cosmetic injections hurt?

Whilst the injections are relatively pain free and often over in a matter of seconds, pain relief is taken very seriously for all injectable treatments at our Leamington Spa clinic.

"I take pain relief very seriously. For both Dermal Fillers and Botox I use the best anesthetic creams available and apply topically as required for all patients who may concerned about pain." - Rosie
